OUR DIRECTOR
Dr. Toumajian is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in vascular as well as general surgery. He completed his undergraduate work at Yale University, before earning his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School.
An internship followed at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He then served with honors as Captain in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. After military service, he performed his surgical residency at Memorial Hospital Medical Center in Long Beach, with a vascular surgery fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center.
He has been in private practice in the Long Beach area for 30 years, and has focused on phlebology (vein disorders) and sclerotherapy (vein treatments) for the past 25 years.
When Dr. Toumajian is not injecting veins and practicing medicine, he is participating in one of his two favorite pastimes, gourmet cooking and exercising. He is an avid exerciser and especially enjoys sculling and swimming. He has been awarded medals in several cooking competitions.
Dr. Toumajian bakes wonderful Armenian bread in his kitchen as well as biscotti. Fresh baked goods are made daily for his patients and staff to enjoy.
